30th May 2011 – Heron
Most of the day was quite a pleasant day. The sun was out and there was some blue in the sky.
So a good opportunity to get on the old bike and cycle to this location for a relaxing time, while I take my photo for the day.
Hmm…. After a few minutes some light rain.
It proceeded to get slightly heavier. Not a shower and not a short sharp burst. No this was the type of rain that you know is going to persistent, like a nagging feeling that won’t go away.
Nevertheless I feel very fortunate to have seen this heron. It appeared from nowhere, stood in the water waiting for its meal to come along.
So I left damp, but satisfied.
What a beautiful, elegant heron. Worth getting dampy for.
