2nd May 2011 – Sparrow
I didn’t have to go far to get today’s shot. This was one of several sparrows in my neighbour’s garden.
I take my camera with me just about every time I go out, and so used to think that on such days the image I post will have little connection to my home.
Not anymore. Sometimes opportunity is closer than you think.
Can you see it? If you do, now what? Watch it fly away or make it your friend? Whatever you do don’t let the noise of the crowd frighten opportunity away.
A final question, how long can you wait?

Hi, I really like this picture.
Regards Stuart
Thanks Stuart
This is such an amazing shot. I love how beautiful you made the sparrow seem. Wonderful
Glad you like it Kay
What a beautiful, delicate photograph. I love this.
And I love your shots.
This is lovely – what a fantastic shot! There is a lovely soft feel to the image which matches the fluffy young sparrow beautifully.
I am blushing. This has turned out to be one of my most popular images to date.
Thank you (and others) for the lovely comments.
Darling photo.
Thank you. Here’s to the young ones
What a lovely photo ! So tiny and cute bird and so green surroundings !
Yes the conditions were right and everything came together for this one.
I love how this lovely little sparrow pops out and draws the viewer into the greenscape. Thanks for sharing.
Ahh such a refreshing picture

How I wish I could take some pics of birds too… but they somehow always manage to fly away before I could even press down the button.
Very nice!
